Cambridge South East Transport (CSET) – A Big Step Forward
On 9th January 2025, Cambridgeshire County Council submitted an application to the Department for Transport (DfT) for the Cambridge South East Transport (CSET) scheme. The public consultation runs until 7th March 2025, and now’s the time to share your thoughts or show support.
What’s CSET About?
CSET is designed to tackle local traffic congestion, improve air quality, and open up healthier, greener travel options in and around Cambridge. Plans include:
- A dedicated busway for more reliable, frequent services
- A modern travel hub to simplify transfers and offer amenities
- Enhanced paths for walkers, cyclists, and runners
